The Research Institute of Child Psychology and Pathopsychology (VÚDPaP) engages in publishing activities and provides information and publishing services through its Department of Information and Publishing. The department is responsible for managing the library collection, the collection of professional journals, and the collection of psychodiagnostic tools, as well as for publishing professional periodicals.
Library and Information Services
As part of our library and information services, we offer:
- Extensive collection:We offer specialized publications and periodicals in the fields of psychology, education, social work, and medicine.
- Research Services:We provide specialized research services using our internal resources (book collection, collection of professional journals, collection of psychodiagnostic tools) and freely available sources. These services are intended for students working on their theses, as well as for researchers.
- On-campus study:Books, journals, and psychodiagnostic materials are available for study or research exclusively on-campus at the institute’s premises.
- How to submit a request:If you are interested in a literature search or a specific publication/material, please contact us by email atkniznica@vudpap.sk. We will process your request and arrange a date for your visit, if applicable.

Access to information sources
- Book Collection:Our book collection is cataloged in an internal (offline) database. A staff member from the department will assist you in accessing and searching the collection upon your request.
- Journal Database: A publicly accessible online database of our journals, which we hold in print, can be found at THIS LINK.
- Psychodiagnostic Testing Tools Database:Due to the sensitive nature of these materials, the database of psychodiagnostic tools is internal. If you are interested in specific tools, please contact us by email.

Publishing and Sales
We publish two professional journals:
- Child Psychology and Pathopsychology – a peer-reviewed professional journal.
- The Child at the Center of Professional Attention – a methodological and professional journal for counseling practice and the general public.
